From blank canvas to live, converting landing page in under an hour. Covers templates, sections, forms, publishing, and the small mistakes that tank conversion.
A funnel is a sequence of pages that guides a visitor from first click to a defined conversion event (lead, call, purchase). It is not just a pretty landing page. The difference matters: a page exists in isolation, a funnel has a start, middle, and end. VC Suite's funnel builder handles both, but thinking in funnel terms — not page terms — will make your conversion rates twice as high.
Go to Sites → Funnels → + New Funnel. Pick a template that matches your goal: lead capture, appointment booking, product sale, webinar registration. Templates come with pre-wired forms, tracking, and mobile-responsive layouts. Building from scratch is possible but almost never worth the time on your first funnel.
Pages are made of sections (horizontal strips), rows (columns inside a section), and elements (text, image, button, form, video, countdown). Click to add, drag to reorder, double-click to edit. Mobile preview is in the top toolbar — always check it before publishing. Anything that looks great on desktop but broken on mobile will cost you 60% of your traffic.
Your form is the conversion point. Rules: ask for the absolute minimum (name, email, phone if needed, one qualifying question max), put the form above the fold on mobile, use contrasting button colors, write an action-oriented button label (Get My Free Audit, not Submit). Every extra field cuts your conversion by an average of 4–7%.
After publishing a form, go to Automations → Workflows and create a new workflow triggered by Form Submitted, filtered to your new form. This is where the real follow-up happens — auto-reply email, confirmation SMS, team notification, pipeline stage assignment. A form without a follow-up workflow is a wasted conversion.
In the funnel settings, turn on Track Source URL so you know which ad or referrer brought each lead in. Install your Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, and any other tracking in Site Settings → Tracking Code. Without tracking on day 1, you are running blind on day 30.
By default your funnel lives at a VC Suite subdomain. Publish to a custom domain (go.yourcompany.com, get.yourcompany.com) for professionalism and trust. Set up the CNAME record in your DNS, verify in VC Suite, and your funnel is live on your domain.
Before you drive traffic: every button links correctly, every form submits successfully (test it yourself), mobile view looks right on an actual phone, page loads in under 3 seconds, tracking fires, follow-up workflow runs, and the confirmation page exists. If any of these are broken, fix before spending a dollar on traffic.
